Hi, I’m Lauren
I am a writer, editor, and storyteller. I write because I’m enamored with language. I also believe that sharing stories fosters deep connection. Check out some of my published pieces here.
In addition to writing, I’m also an educator. I’ve held faculty positions at Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and St. Peter’s University. I’ve also taught with volunteer programs at The Rubin Museum of Art and Citizen Schools. I’m currently based in San Francisco, where I write, edit, and teach writing classes at The Writing Salon.
What I Think About
Nuance, intuition, rest, belonging, paper texture, surprise, honesty, marcescence, thunderstorms, curiosity, death, tenderness, equality, balance, em dashes, contradiction, dogs, rhythm, syncopation, uncertainty, touch, black holes, revivals, relative truth, riptides, Lucille Ball, contronyms, wrathful deities, songs on repeat, drum lines, blue jays, and how often I should update this list.
